The phrase “al fresco” is borrowed from Italian, meaning “in the cool air”. Or to eat outside. And there’s something beautiful about dining outside. Whether it’s the sights and sounds or just the fresh air, Alfresco dining is a great way to soak in the atmosphere of a location. Whether it’s abroad or right here in the UK (dependent on the weather of course).
There is however an art to the perfect outdoor dining space, with lots of hurdles to overcome when designing the area. Everything down to the space, atmosphere, lighting and accessibility of your area needs to be considered carefully.
